Research revealed:Due to the sharp tingling and pain caused by cold things in the teeth, a special protein, which is in the cells, will now be able to be treated.
According to a research published in the journal Science Advance, biologists have now found the cause of this intense and sudden pain. According to the researchers, the main reason for this is a certain type of protein, which is in the surface of cells inside the teeth. According to him, the treatment of this particular kind of pain will be discovered soon with this information.
About a decade ago, Dr. Katharina Zimmerman, a professor at Fredrik Alexander University in Germany, had reported that cells make a special type of protein called TRPC-5 that is sensitive to cold. When they are exposed to cold things, it starts to form a channel and allows particles to flow across the membrane.
According to Dr. Zimmerman, these protein (TRPC-5) particles begin to flow throughout the body and this is why a tingling-like condition occurs. For example, if your eyes feel cold or dry in the cold air, it is the result of the activation of protein particles in the cornea.
After this result, Zimmerman came to the conclusion that a cold receptor such as TRPC-5 may be used in other parts of the body, which may also be one of the most sensitive tissues in the human body, which has a cold sensation. . In many people this feeling is also in the form of sharp and stinging pain, which was the biggest problem till now.
Experts did not know yet how cold reaches the teeth
Until now, the prevailing theory to find out how cold reaches the teeth was that temperature changes put pressure on the fluid inside the teeth, which triggers a reaction in hidden veins. But it was not known in detail about how this happened. Dr. Zimmerman also observed the effect of TRPC-5 protein on mice.
